Certificate Exams — All In One · last updated 24 September 2026
This policy covers the iPhone app Certificate Exams — All In One, published by XCROSS PTY LTD (ABN registered in Australia), Melbourne, Australia.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address, and a display name if you give one | To identify your account and let you sign back in on another device |
| An identifier from Apple or Google, if you sign in that way | To recognise you on the next sign-in. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your address, we only ever see the relay address Apple gives us |
| The four onboarding answers: your role, how experienced you are, which vendors interest you, how intensely you plan to study | To suggest which certification to start with |
| Your papers: which sets you sat, what you chose for each question, how long you spent, what you flagged, your score per exam domain | To mark the paper, to show your progress, and to let you resume a paper you left |
| Anything you type into a question report or a request for a new certification | To fix the question or consider adding the exam |
| Your purchases: which product, the transaction identifier from Apple, when access starts and ends | To give you what you paid for, and to settle a dispute if one arises |
| Ordinary server logs, which include the IP address a request came from | To keep the service running and to investigate abuse. Kept 30 days |
Nobody else. We do not use an advertising network, a data broker, or a customer-analytics service.
On Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia, and in a MySQL database we run. Access is limited to the people who maintain the service. Everything between the app and the server travels over HTTPS.
Your account and your papers stay until you delete the account. Server logs are kept for 30 days. Records of a purchase are kept for seven years, which is what Australian tax law requires of us.
From inside the app: open Account and choose Delete account. It happens immediately and it cannot be undone. Your papers and scores, what you reported, what you asked us to add, and your profile all go with it.
What survives is the minimum record of a purchase that we are required to keep for tax purposes — the transaction identifier, the product and the date — with your name and email cut away from it.
Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store. Cancel that in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Apple will keep charging you.
If you would rather we did it for you, write to admin@xcross.com.au from the address on the account and we will, within 30 days.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to admin@xcross.com.au. We answer within 30 days.
We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
The app is made for adults studying for professional certifications and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows when it was last changed.
